Terms of use

Version dated 22 September 2026. These terms of use (“Terms”) govern Viniette (“the Service”), provided by the publisher, and each person holding an account (“the User”). They incorporate the publication rules below. The privacy policy supplements these Terms for the processing of personal data.

The Service enables private sharing of memories among invited family members. The User shall provide accurate account information, protect their sign-in credentials and share invitations only with the intended recipients. You must be at least 15 to use the Service on your own. Minors aged 13 or 14 may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who consents together with them and supervises their use. The Service is reserved for people aged 13 and over, and the publisher may close an account that does not meet these conditions.

Share everyday moments, celebrations, trips and family memories, with respectful captions. Only publish content you created or have permission to share.

Respect the wishes and privacy of everyone pictured. For children, obtain permission from their parent or guardian and avoid images or details that could put them at risk.

Do not publish nudity of any kind, sexual or intimate images, sexual exploitation, or content that puts a child at risk. Nudity and sexual or intimate images are prohibited even with the consent of everyone pictured.

Drug-related images or content, including drug use, production or sales, are not allowed.

Threats, harassment, hate speech, graphic violence, promotion of criminal activity, scams and spam are not allowed.

Do not share someone else’s private documents, passwords, financial details or precise address without permission. Do not impersonate someone or infringe their copyright.

If content appears to be illegal, the publisher may preserve the related evidence and report it to the competent authorities, and may suspend or close the accounts involved.

Use “Photo actions”, then “Report photo”. Before sending, you are told that a private copy of the photo, its title and caption, your report and the account identifiers will be made available to the platform review team.

Family administrators of the families you share with can review a report of a photo in that family; they do not see who reported it. The platform team keeps access to the private copy. Reporting does not automatically remove a photo. Please report in good faith.

Use the available edit and removal controls. A photo shared with several families may remain available in its other families after removal from one family. Reporting is also available when you cannot edit or remove a photo.

The User retains their rights in the content they publish. They grant the publisher a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, convert and display that content solely as necessary to operate the Service, share it with the selected families and review a report. This permission does not allow its sale or reuse for advertising.

This permission ends when the content is effectively deleted from the Service, subject to copies still shared with other families, a report within its retention period and applicable legal obligations.

Where these Terms are breached, content appears unlawful or people or the Service are at risk, the publisher may proportionately restrict access, remove content or suspend an account. Urgent measures may precede a full review. Applicable obligations to preserve information or disclose it to competent authorities remain in effect.

The User may ask the publisher to reconsider a measure by explaining their objection. If their account remains accessible, “Report a problem” in Account can be used to send this request. Other family members cannot access reports; family administrators see only the photo, the reason and the uploader’s name.

At each successful authentication, the Service may record the connection IP address, date, account identifier and an approximate country supplied by its infrastructure. The IP is encrypted in the connection journal, retained for 30 days and then removed by the hourly cleanup. Monthly country totals without IP addresses or account identifiers are kept for no more than 12 months.

This information is used to understand the geographical distribution of connections and check the quality of those statistics. It does not provide GPS location and is not used for targeted advertising. The privacy policy explains recipients, the processing basis and User rights. Accepting these Terms does not constitute blanket consent to data processing.

The publisher uses reasonable efforts to operate and protect the Service. Maintenance and incidents may interrupt availability. The User remains responsible for their publications and should keep a copy of memories they wish to preserve long term.

These Terms do not exclude any liability or guarantee that applicable law prohibits excluding, or limit the User’s mandatory rights. Material changes must be brought to the User’s attention before taking effect; where agreement is required, it must be obtained separately. The available version states its revision date.
